VICAR'S MESSAGE FOR APRIL 2026
Dearly Beloved members of Immanuel Marthoma Parish, Kuwait
Grace and peace to all of you
April invites us into longer days and warmer light, and with it a fresh chance to live God’s love out loud. Let’s slow down enough to notice where grace is already at work, in a neighbor’s kindness, in quiet prayers, in the way our children laugh after service. This month, may we trade hurry for attention, and let God’s compassion shape our schedules, conversations, and choices.
On Passover day we remember Jesus’ life-giving love poured out for us, the Lamb who frees, the host who welcomes. In Holy Communion we receive that love again: grace that feeds us, forgives us, and sends us out to share the same mercy with others.
On Good Friday we stand at the cross, the place where loss becomes the celebration of life. The cross names our pain and also opens a way forward, forgiveness, mercy, and a love strong enough to hold death and still bring new life.
Easter proclaims the resurrection and Christ’s victory over death, the tomb emptied, fear undone, and life given back to us as a gift. That victory sends us out with joy: to forgive quickly, serve bravely, and live as people unchained by fear.
On the first Sunday after resurrection we give thanks for the Spirit’s presence that steadies us — reminding us that the risen Christ still walks with us, teaching us to love what he loves and serve where he leads.
Come and dine — the risen Lord’s invitation to us. He is the co-traveller who meets us on the road, breaks bread with us, and turns ordinary meals into grace. At table with him, we’re fed, known by name, and sent out to make room for others at the feast.
Let’s walk this season with open hands and attentive hearts, ready to notice grace, share peace, and reflect Christ in our homes, workplaces, and parish life.
In Christ’s Service
